A fallen remote controller of an air con

My friend's remote controller for the air con, fallen down on one careless behavior. Then the display start go wrong, just leave a few human unreadable dot and line on the screen.

Just like at home, my baby boy trow it into the wall and when I picked it up, it's not working anymore. Can I have repair it or can I buy new remote? It's really important because I we uses split system and it's in the ceiling which is very hard to adjust the temperature.
