Canon DSLR NP-E3 battery modification

As it still under testing phase, put some picture first, may upgrade this post later.

Testing Result:

Continuous ~1.5A discharge on electronic load, 2600mAH cell last ~2817 seconds, which is ~47 minutes, average current draw from battery cell ~3.2A ~23W, output ~1.5A 12.5V(8-13, average ~12.5V) ~18.75W, efficiency ~ 82%.

When battery charge is nearly depleted, output drop to 9 V provide battery lo indication for 1-2 minutes, which is enough for a camera to shut down.

DC Motor speed Controller

Long time since last update, just do some random update.

A simple PWM 12V uni direction motor controller, support up to 57A current, I just built one unit as the client only need one. It have a heatsink, but I forget to take the photo with heatsink attached.

Schematic, it is actually modified from other schematic, but circuit with same principle is use quite often, since regulated voltage source is use, therefore a constant voltage source to maintain precise timing is not necessary:

Li-ion battery pack prototype

This is an order from one of my customer.

This battery pack have built in over charge, over discharge and short circuit protection, 12.6V 1.5A charger provided. It is a 10.8V 27Whr battery pack, operated from 12.6V (when fully charged) down to 9V (when fully discharge), can be used for most 12V powered device that use less than 12W. It take aproximately 2-3 hours to fully charge the battery.

AltBatterien

I did not know that AltBatterien mean 'used battery' in German language. It was inspired by my nickname in lowyat.net, a local IT forum. What a coincident? I created the word realt which mean a refilled battery done in the way it should be, it seen like the word match the meaning of reused now. When my brother went to register the company AltBattery, he was told that only word in english or Malay with meaning or people name was allowed, AltBattery was not allowed, therefore the company name has become Alternative Battery, AltBattery now have been operated near 7 years, it isn't easy all the way,especially people begin to shift to smart phone and tablet, and tend to get a new one when the old one getting obsoleted...
